Climate Health Job Description (sample):
We are seeking individuals with environmental related degrees and strong technical, organizational, and writing skills to complement and expand our climate change division. You will contribute to research, analysis, implementation, and policy development of: greenhouse gas emission inventories and mitigation measures; climate change adaptation assessment measures; methodologies to determine climate change impacts on ecological resources; methodologies to explore the nexus between transportation planning, land use, sustainability and planning, and climate change; and renewable energy and energy conservation measures. Position requires a minimum of three years public or private sector experience in environmental analysis and project management. Individuals with an interest in conventional air quality fields such as ozone/PM analysis and abatement are strongly encouraged to apply. Conventional air quality analysis experience can be successfully applied to climate change analysis.

What is a Green Job?
A green job is an employment position that focuses on environmentally responsible products and/or services. The job can be in a green company or in a company that focuses on reducing the consumption of natural resources, preventing pollution and promoting environmental responsibility. Climate change is any long-term significant change in the expected patterns of average weather of a specific region (or, more relevantly to contemporary socio-political concerns, of the Earth as a whole) over an appropriately significant period of time. Climate change reflects abnormal variations to the expected climate within the Earth's atmosphere and subsequent effects on other parts of the Earth, such as in the ice caps over durations ranging from decades to millions of years.

In recent usage, especially in the context of environmental policy, climate change usually refers to changes in modern climate (see global warming).
